VetRecOutdoors is an organization that was formed to help veterans improve their lives and lessen the effects of normal stress and even PTS through introducing them to the therapeutic benefits of outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, fly-fishing and camping. In addition to providing guided activities, we will train veterans to lead other veterans in these activities
Our mission is simple: Texas Hero Hunts, Inc. serves any member of the Armed Forces, either active duty or Honorably Discharged who served our Nation either in peacetime or during any combat operation. We also proudly honor and serve any current or retired First Responder, as well as the surviving family members of any Hero whose life was sacrificed to protect and ensure our Freedom.
The Iron Freedom Foundation’s overall mission is to provide veterans with a support community of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts with the means and the personal confidence necessary to go forth and achieve, not only their goals, but those around them.
We are a Veteran Organization with a faith in Christ, Our Nations Hero’s and the Outdoors, and our mission is to serve those who sacrifice for this country. We are a Christian based non-profit (501C3 in process) that uses the outdoors as a tool to make Veteran’s, Police and Fireman feel appreciated, loved and wanted. We volunteer our time to take these brave men and women, and their families, out hunting and fishing around the country for free to thank them for their service, help them get away from the stress in their life, and help them be able to live in the moment. Hero Adventures started as a simple conversation in a deer camp expressing appreciation for service members who have sacrificed so much to serve our country and protect our freedom. The conversation catapulted into many “what ifs.” What if we were to host a group of veterans for a hunting expedition? What if we were to provide fishing expeditions as well? What if we offered accessible facilities for wounded veterans who were interested in experiencing the sportsman’s activities in the great outdoors?
Hero Adventures seeks to address these “what ifs” and provide a weekend of respite and fellowship for veterans who enjoy the great outdoors and appreciate the beauty of the country they fought so hard to protect. Our small group experiences are tailor made for each individual and include lodging, meals, and expenses associated with the weekend’s harvest.
American Legends Outdoors is an IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our mission is to reach as many Active Duty members, Veterans and First Responders by providing non-traditional outdoor therapy in hopes of fighting against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the daily struggles of life, in general.
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need and to let Active Duty, Retired Veterans or First Responders continue work outside of service. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE SOLDIERS LIVE AT THE POINT OF THE SWORD, WITH A TOLL MEASURED BY BOTH BODY AND SOUL. WE EMBRACE THE REALITY THAT NO CIVILIAN CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TRIALS AND DIFFICULTIES FACED BY OUR SOLDIERS. BUT WE KNOW OF THE HEALING POWER OF A SUNRISE OVER PAMLICO SOUND, AND A TURKEY’S WILD HYMN TO THE SPRINGTIME WOODS. AND WE COMMIT TO OUR VETERANS OUR TIME AND TALENTS AND PASSIONS, TO SHARE IN SILENCE OR WILD, HEARTFELT, HEALING LAUGHTER.
