Operation Phoenix Outdoors

Our mission is to give back to our nation and community heroes by using the outdoors as therapy to create mental health breaks. We do this by bringing Military, Veterans, First Responders and their families on hunting and fishing trips to facilitate fellowship, friendships and healing…ultimately enable conversation and relationships that help combat the 22 veteran suicides a day. Our hope is that we help ease the transition from military to civilian life, reduce stress, reconnect families and build friendship/healthy relationships to reduce the number of veteran suicides, alcohol dependency and broken families. Additionally, breakdown barriers/physical limitations that prevent heroes from enjoying the outdoors. Finally, bring heroes on their last hunting/fishing trips “Bucket list trips” due to terminal illness…give them their last great memory of the outdoors.

Veterans Creed Outdoors Foundation

We are a Veteran Organization with a faith in Christ, Our Nations Hero’s and the Outdoors, and our mission is to serve those who sacrifice for this country. We are a Christian based non-profit (501C3 in process) that uses the outdoors as a tool to make Veteran’s, Police and Fireman feel appreciated, loved and wanted. We volunteer our time to take these brave men and women, and their families, out hunting and fishing around the country for free to thank them for their service, help them get away from the stress in their life, and help them be able to live in the moment. We are here for you as Veteran Brothers and Sisters, and as a Family that you can reach out to if you need someone to be there. https://www.facebook.com/VCOOutdoors/

Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Inc. is a non-profit organization exclusively founded to provide wounded servicemen and women with therapeutic outdoor adventures across North America. WWO gives deserving Active Duty Warriors in transition the opportunity of a lifetime in the wilderness location of their choice. We call them “Adventures Enabled.” Their adventure could take them bear hunting in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, on alligator hunts or fishing excursions in the Gulf Coast region of Florida or deer hunting in Texas. During their experience, they will participate in therapeutic activities such as backpacking, trail expeditions and numerous social interactions.

Wounded Warrior Outdoors provides this all-inclusive adventure at absolutely no cost to the servicemen and women, their families or the government. Transportation, lodging, meals and documentation of the adventure is provided free of charge. It is because of this arrangement that Wounded Warrior Outdoors relies entirely on private donations. Administration, general offices and personnel services are donated.

In order to maintain this highly effective organization, we need the support of private individuals and corporations. At Wounded Warrior Outdoors, over ninety percent of all donations directly benefit these Active Duty Warriors in transition.

Fifty wounded, but active, members of the military are selected to participate each year. Our host facilities are of the highest quality and offer all the comforts of home. WWO also provides complete outfitting including gear, clothing and field transport. Even taxidermy services are provided at no charge.

Most important to the program, Active Duty Warriors in transition are provided with all the accessibility and equipment necessary to make it an adventure that is truly memorable and one in which they can participate fully. No matter the individual’s disability, our focus in on ability and making sure their adventure becomes the memory of a lifetime.

All military branches have participated in our program and we have many relationships with military hospitals that help us facilitate our programs.

Wheelin’ Sportsmen

The Wheelin’ Sportsmen program began in October 2000 as the NWTF recognized the need to help people with mobility impairments enjoy the outdoors by participating in hunting and shooting sports.

Wheelin’ Sportsmen events provide participants an opportunity they may not be able to have on their own due to the lack of hunting land access, lack of the knowledge of how to return to the field after an injury or lack of necessary assistance.

Oftentimes, the knowledge and experience gained at one of our events allows the participants to continue hunting on their own throughout the year.
