Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors

In 2002, Bud West started the Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors. The original focus was helping paralyzed veterans through fishing until the group obtained the land lease in 2005. In 2007, the group became incorporated. Sadly, in 2010 Bud passed away.

Today, we are a dedicated group of men and women who love the outdoors and believe that hunting and fishing should be accessible for everyone, regardless of disability. We serve both military and civilian disabled persons who enjoy hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. The only way they can do so is with the assistance of the Wounded Warrior volunteers who are physically able to do so.

Warriors Never Give Up

Warriors Never Give Up is a God inspired VOLUNTEER non-profit organization offering outdoor adventures for combat deployed or service connected disabled veterans.

Warriors Never Give Up began by utilizing our passion for the outdoors to serve our nation’s heroes, but God called us to step out of our comfort zone to do so much more. Our intention of this organization and its outdoor adventures is and always has been to provide a place of relaxation, hope, family, and a break from life’s daily struggles. However, along the journey, we soon realized that a bigger piece of God’s intention was missing. Throughout the transformation of this awesome and amazing journey, it became obvious that God’s calling was not only providing a place of mental and physical healing, but also a place of spiritual healing. We take pride in our mission of touching the lives of each and every volunteer or participant knowing that our chief sponsor, God, is in control. The hunt brings us together, but the Spirit changes the lives of our participants when we least expect it. We are dedicated to changing the lives of our nation’s heroes one outdoor adventure at a time.

Warriors and Quiet Waters

At Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW), we believe that we are part of the solution regarding our nation’s wounded defenders by providing a respite from the stresses of war, the monotony of lengthy hospital stays and traditional therapy, and the many day-to-day struggles involved in their journey home.

Warriors Afield Legacy Foundation

Warriors Afield Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit veterans charity founded by combat veterans and members of the outdoor industry, dedicated to giving back to those who have served and sacrificed while operating differently than most other non profit organizations.

Warrior’s Weekend

Founded in 2007, Warrior’s Weekend is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 Corporation dedicated to the support of veterans of The United States of America with an emphasis on those wounded in The Global War on Terrorism. This is accomplished through holding an annual fishing event for wounded military personnel in May in Port O’Connor, Texas as well as donations to veterans and veterans-based causes.

Warrior Bonfire Program

The Warrior Bonfire Program is an organization created for service members who have been wounded in combat operations. The purpose of our programs are to encourage camaraderie between those that can fully understand the mindset of a combat wounded soldier and /or their spouse, foster healing through those relationships, inspire growth towards new passions and purpose post military service, or simply know they are not alone. Our programs center around hosting retreats that include therapeutic small group communications and activities such as hunting, fishing, skiing and more, with each event concluding with a bonfire. Our events are designed to set the examples of getting out with others to combat isolation and rejecting the use and need of self medication. Picture The Warrior Bonfire Program operates in Clinton, Mississippi, as a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non profit charity. It is overseen by a board of directors of 7 members with experience in military operations, private sector businesses, non profit organizations, government processes, and entrepreneurial start ups. Currently, all funds raised go directly to the programs that support the combat wounded veterans we serve. The Warrior Bonfire Program has been in operation since January of 2013.

WarHawgs

The Founders, Toby Cochran (USN Vet, DAV), David Cochran (USN Vet) and Board Members, James Cochran (USN Retired), Kenny Long (USN, Army Retired, Dothan Police Retired) and John Hodgson (Army Vet), started WarHawgs to provide an all-inclusive Adaptive Sports experience for Veterans, Active Duty and First Responders.

WarHawgs helps Disabled Veterans, Veterans, Active Duty Military and First Responders; through Outdoor Programming and Adaptive Sports, that promotes self-esteem, conflict resolution and enhances their quality of life. We serve veterans recovering from and learning to adjust to life with spinal cord injuries (SCI), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), loss of sight, and post-traumatic stress (PTS). We have specialized equipment to accommodate some of the most injured military heroes thus helping our honored veterans find their “new normal”. Our non-profit organizational mission focus is to enable the veterans and active duty military personnel (both wounded and well) who have passion for hunting, shooting, and the outdoors, the ability to do so! We provide outdoor activities with military members and their families, with a focus on reintegration after many years of deployments.

WarHawgs Adaptive Hunting Sports Program is unique in that we have no limitations as to who we can bring, if a military hero desires to get back in the woods, we can do it! We have specialized adaptive equipment for veterans with spinal cord injuries of all levels and vision-impaired to include loss of sight. We hunt deer, wild boar, turkey and a host of other wild game. We have worked with our community partners and other agencies to build a solid program that keeps growing.
