WMRA is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to helping veterans and first responders heal from trauma by introducing them to therapeutic outdoor activities. Our goal is to disrupt veteran suicides. WMRA believes you fight PTSD and trauma from a position of strength. We will help build warriors physical, mental and spiritual strength. We recognize the number one thing both veterans and first responders miss when they leave the service is the camaraderie. Therefore, we purposely built our program and adventures around this idea of camaraderie and community.
We have a number of activities that we introduce attendees to depending on the season and their physical abilities. The goal is to introduce people to new activities/hobbies that become lifelong activities after their week with WMRA.

Camo Cares was founded in 2010 by a small group of volunteers from Knox, Pennsylvania. With the initial hope to send just one child on a hunt, we were able to surpass our goal and raised $20,000 that year! By 2012, with no paid employees, we had reached $90,000, allowing us the opportunity to also sponsor hunts for wounded military veterans.
BOOM Adventures is a non-profit organization created to give back to our Veterans, active members of the military, and First Responders by providing outdoor bonding experiences and opportunities to confront mental and physical hardships.
By creating relaxing, memorable experiences with family, we proudly show our support for these local heroes on a personal level, allowing them to communicate freely and effectively.
Trolling with the Troops is an annual event held each June in Southwest Michigan, bringing together veterans and local fishing captains for a day of camaraderie, gratitude, and unforgettable experiences on the waters of Lake Michigan.
This event is built on a simple but powerful idea—connect veterans with members of the local community to share time, stories, and appreciation in a meaningful way.
