Guardian Outdoors is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization filed under the official name Guardian Outdoor Adventures Inc. We are an entirely volunteer organization whose mission is to provide active duty military, military veterans, fire fighters, police officers, emts and other first responders with outdoor therapy adventures with the main focus of fishing and white water rafting, at no cost to the applicant.
Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Inc. is a non-profit organization exclusively founded to provide wounded servicemen and women with therapeutic outdoor adventures across North America. WWO gives deserving Active Duty Warriors in transition the opportunity of a lifetime in the wilderness location of their choice. We call them “Adventures Enabled.” Their adventure could take them bear hunting in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, on alligator hunts or fishing excursions in the Gulf Coast region of Florida or deer hunting in Texas. During their experience, they will participate in therapeutic activities such as backpacking, trail expeditions and numerous social interactions.
Wounded Warrior Outdoors provides this all-inclusive adventure at absolutely no cost to the servicemen and women, their families or the government. Transportation, lodging, meals and documentation of the adventure is provided free of charge. It is because of this arrangement that Wounded Warrior Outdoors relies entirely on private donations. Administration, general offices and personnel services are donated.
In order to maintain this highly effective organization, we need the support of private individuals and corporations. At Wounded Warrior Outdoors, over ninety percent of all donations directly benefit these Active Duty Warriors in transition.
Fifty wounded, but active, members of the military are selected to participate each year. Our host facilities are of the highest quality and offer all the comforts of home. WWO also provides complete outfitting including gear, clothing and field transport. Even taxidermy services are provided at no charge.
Most important to the program, Active Duty Warriors in transition are provided with all the accessibility and equipment necessary to make it an adventure that is truly memorable and one in which they can participate fully. No matter the individual’s disability, our focus in on ability and making sure their adventure becomes the memory of a lifetime.
All military branches have participated in our program and we have many relationships with military hospitals that help us facilitate our programs.
A Service for Our Military Service Members
Offering our wounded veterans the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy a hunting or fishing trip with all expenses paid, our group focuses on uniting fellow Wounded Heroes on our outdoor adventures. On our trips, our Heroes create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp is here for our Heroes, and we hope that you will share in our passion and commitment to do what we can for the brave men and women who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. We believe that healing begins on the hunt!
VAU is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit run by veterans. We cover our less than 3% overhead costs through board donations to maximize every donated dollar towards our programs and those we serve. Founded in 2013 with a focus on providing much-needed support to disabled veterans and their family members through accessible retreats and adaptive sports/recreation.
QIMSA provides all-encompassing, expense-free outdoor experiences to wounded warriors from all branches of service, regardless of injury or hunting and fishing experience. QIMSA is a federally-approved, non-profit, 501(c)(3), volunteer program operated on Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. Our program provides combat-injured military members undergoing treatment at Walter Reed, Bethesda, or any other hospital in the nation’s capital region the opportunity to realize their hunting and fishing potential, regardless of injury, in the company of fellow veterans and sportsmen.
The mission of Patriot Hunts is and always has been to provide outdoor adventures through the hunting/fishing world we all love. We believe in giving our veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families of fallen heroes the choice and opportunity to chose whether our program is a good fit for them or their families. These families have given, served and sacrificed so much for this nation we all live in and love so very much.
We as a Free Nation owe a debt of Honor to all these Heroes that can never be repaid. They serve and sacrifice for America, and that is why Patriot Hunts exist, and that is why we serve and sacrifice on their behalf.
Freedom comes at a price that sometimes gets lost in today’s society, but the cost of Freedom is easy to see if you just open your eyes and look around.
We provide outdoor adventures at (no charge) to any participant that qualifies and is chosen for a hunt. We at Patriot Hunts understand that the outdoor life is not for everyone, and we respect that choice, but we want to at least make this opportunity available for those that wish to attend a event.
Hope For The Warriors’ Outdoor Adventures Program provides adaptive opportunities for wounded heroes to participate in sporting activities in the great outdoors. Service members, who previously embraced an outdoorsman lifestyle, as well as those new to traditional outdoor sports, are introduced to recreational opportunities on the road to recovery.
Hope For The Warriors created the Outdoor Adventures Program in 2010 to provide adaptive opportunities for wounded heroes to participate in sporting activities in the great outdoors. In 2012, the organization recognized the therapeutic benefits for the family members and expanded the program to include spouses and children of wounded and fallen service members.
Hope For The Warriors has created partnerships with many corporate and nonprofit outdoors groups to create hunting and fishing opportunities available to service members, veterans and their families throughout the country.
