Heroes Harvests

Heroes’ Harvests is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide our Nation’s service members, to include active duty military members, reserve, national guard, veterans, and Gold Star families, a dynamic therapeutic environment through exclusive hunting, fishing, and outdoor experiences. We also directly support our community members, in conjunction with outfitters across different states, for transitioning service members who seek a career in the outdoor industry.

Wounded Warrior Outdoors

Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Inc. is a non-profit organization exclusively founded to provide wounded servicemen and women with therapeutic outdoor adventures across North America. WWO gives deserving Active Duty Warriors in transition the opportunity of a lifetime in the wilderness location of their choice. We call them “Adventures Enabled.” Their adventure could take them bear hunting in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, on alligator hunts or fishing excursions in the Gulf Coast region of Florida or deer hunting in Texas. During their experience, they will participate in therapeutic activities such as backpacking, trail expeditions and numerous social interactions.

Wounded Warrior Outdoors provides this all-inclusive adventure at absolutely no cost to the servicemen and women, their families or the government. Transportation, lodging, meals and documentation of the adventure is provided free of charge. It is because of this arrangement that Wounded Warrior Outdoors relies entirely on private donations. Administration, general offices and personnel services are donated.

In order to maintain this highly effective organization, we need the support of private individuals and corporations. At Wounded Warrior Outdoors, over ninety percent of all donations directly benefit these Active Duty Warriors in transition.

Fifty wounded, but active, members of the military are selected to participate each year. Our host facilities are of the highest quality and offer all the comforts of home. WWO also provides complete outfitting including gear, clothing and field transport. Even taxidermy services are provided at no charge.

Most important to the program, Active Duty Warriors in transition are provided with all the accessibility and equipment necessary to make it an adventure that is truly memorable and one in which they can participate fully. No matter the individual’s disability, our focus in on ability and making sure their adventure becomes the memory of a lifetime.

All military branches have participated in our program and we have many relationships with military hospitals that help us facilitate our programs.

Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp

On our trips, our Heroes create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp is here for our Heroes, and we hope that you will share in our passion and commitment to do what we can for the brave men and women who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. We believe that healing begins on the hunt!

Wishes 4 Warriors

Wishes For Warriors is a veteran run, volunteer operated non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to returning hope and passion back into the lives of our combat wounded heroes, through therapeutic outdoor adventures, awareness, education and passion, after experiencing a life altering injury.

It is our mission to show these heroes that whether wounded of body and mind, they are still able to live out their passions, hope for the future and improved quality of life.

Veterans Sportsmen Alliance

The primary mission of VSA is to get injured and disabled Veterans out of the house and hospital, and into the therapeutic surroundings of nature and outdoor adventure.

VSA has enabled our heroes that have suffered double and triple amputations to experience outdoor adventures they most likely would not be capable of doing on their own.

VSA has sponsored deer and hog hunts, as well as tuna, bass, and salmon fishing trips.

VSA is currently organizing kayaking, hiking, and golf trips as well. Even more exciting, the VSA & Hot Rod Service Company have been working on a Mustang Project and will soon be scheduling “Track Day Events,” and putting our Veterans behind the wheel at race tracks across America.

Make A Difference Outdoors

M.A.D. Outdoors was created with the purpose of honoring combat-injured veterans with more than a “thank you” by offering these brave individuals a variety of activities in the great outdoors. Knowing that many injuries are not seen, efforts quickly expanded to provide shooting, hunting and fishing activities to all veterans, as well as individuals of all ages with physical challenges and special needs.

Idaho Backcountry Veterans

Idaho Backcountry Veterans (IBV) is a nonprofit created for our veterans to enjoy quality hunting, fishing and other sporting activities

Our Approach

We get vets together with each other and away from the daily grind. Like minded individuals in a comfortable environment where they can drop the shields and open up about their experiences with those that have been through the same experiences.

Our Story

Started in 2017 Idaho Back Country Veterans is a Not-For-Profit corporationregistered in Idaho. We fundraise and have a series of amazing sponsors and partners that help us create naturalescapes for those we help.

Higher Ground

We use recreation, therapy, and continuing support to give people of all abilities a better life. Together we bridge the gap between disability and belonging.

There is no other program in the country that offers the whole-life healing that we do at Higher Ground. We are the only program that invites the spouse or other supporter to be part of the journey. Together, the pair forms a new unit with other veterans and supporters in their program.

They take on new challenges. They talk. They listen. They feel heard. They feel hope.

The real healing begins when they head home. Higher Ground guarantees the veteran can stay active in recreation by providing the equipment and finances needed. We also commit to three years of follow-up support. We check in, we encourage, and we help them remember that they are not in this alone.
