Wisconsin Veterans Adventures
My goal is to get able bodied veterans and their families outdoors and active through a range of activities such as fishing, hiking, canoeing, and much more at no cost to them. (permitted there is no permits needed.)
Wisconsin Hero Outdoors
Here at, Wisconsin Hero Outdoors, we serve our Veteran and First Responder community in 3 primary ways:
We work hand in hand with the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical System, including the In-Patient Residential Mental Health Program, Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Administration Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Departments, and Recreational Therapy Departments to provide outdoor excursions for our Veterans under the care of the VA. Currently, we work with the Milwaukee, Madison, Tomah, and North Chicago VA.
Coordination with Veteran Service Organizations and Non-Government Organizations to provide an outdoor activity element to their organizations. Examples include our collaboration with Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, AMVETS, American Legion, United Special Sportsman’s Alliance, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Vets on the Fly, and a variety of local police and fire departments.
Lastly and possibly most important, we conduct group outings with individual and small groups of Veterans and/or First Responders from hunting and fishing excursions to golf, SCUBA diving, and equestrian programs.
Wings of Valor Lodge
Wings of Valor is a lodge unlike any other. Located on some of the best habitat in eastern South Dakota, we are just 40 minutes from Sioux Falls and we offer world-class pheasant hunting. Wings of Valor operates on the mission of supporting those who have served by providing a gathering place to motivate and empower veterans in the outdoors. This 501(c)3 non-profit is a fully-accessible commercial hunting lodge available to all to book a great South Dakota pheasant hunt. Your corporate or family hunt will support the mission of bringing our veterans home. We host Disabled Veterans hunts twice a month and hunt commercially the remainder. Wild Warrior Adventure
Wild Warrior Adventure (WWA) exists to encourage those who have served / continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, have risked their lives to defend our freedom and have sustained wounds, including the invisible wounds of combat operational stress injuries, and the stress of the rigors of military service.
We serve our Warriors and their families through providing spiritual outdoor adventures in exceptional environments, away from the distractions of daily life, to find freedom from bondage, to build emotional and spiritual resiliency, and to lead healthy, God-centered lives.
Wild Warrior Adventure partners with various military organizations and commands such as Military Chaplaincy, Veteran’s Administration Staff, The Master’s Program, other Veteran Service Organizations, and our Alumni to identify Veterans and Service Members who would benefit from the WWA Adventure.
Through the generous support of individuals, organizations, and corporations, we are able to fund the transport of attendees to our outdoor adventure locations where they will be housed, fed (physically, emotionally and spiritually), and treated like VIPs. As Alumni of WWA, they will always be a part of our family as we continue to offer aftercare programs and opportunities for ongoing fellowship.
It has been proven that the adventure of fly fishing and outdoor activities, great food, hospitality, and fellowship around the fire can create an environment where significant conversations take place. These intentional experiences and conversations lead to healing, freedom, and a renewed hope. This creates the environment and bond that allow our Alumni to return home, encouraged to serve their families, communities, and fellow Veterans and Service Members.
Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors
In 2002, Bud West started the Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors. The original focus was helping paralyzed veterans through fishing until the group obtained the land lease in 2005. In 2007, the group became incorporated. Sadly, in 2010 Bud passed away.
Today, we are a dedicated group of men and women who love the outdoors and believe that hunting and fishing should be accessible for everyone, regardless of disability. We serve both military and civilian disabled persons who enjoy hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. The only way they can do so is with the assistance of the Wounded Warrior volunteers who are physically able to do so.
Warriors Never Give Up
Warriors Never Give Up is a God inspired VOLUNTEER non-profit organization offering outdoor adventures for combat deployed or service connected disabled veterans.
Warriors Never Give Up began by utilizing our passion for the outdoors to serve our nation’s heroes, but God called us to step out of our comfort zone to do so much more. Our intention of this organization and its outdoor adventures is and always has been to provide a place of relaxation, hope, family, and a break from life’s daily struggles. However, along the journey, we soon realized that a bigger piece of God’s intention was missing. Throughout the transformation of this awesome and amazing journey, it became obvious that God’s calling was not only providing a place of mental and physical healing, but also a place of spiritual healing. We take pride in our mission of touching the lives of each and every volunteer or participant knowing that our chief sponsor, God, is in control. The hunt brings us together, but the Spirit changes the lives of our participants when we least expect it. We are dedicated to changing the lives of our nation’s heroes one outdoor adventure at a time.
Warriors in the Field
Taking Veterans from this great country to the outdoors on hunting and fishing trips to various destinations in this great country. Warriors in the field LTD is a military based charity organization, our goal is to help Veterans with struggles of ever day issues and let them know they are not fighting alone. Taking Veterans from this great country to the outdoors on hunting and fishing trips to various destinations in this great country.
We believe in honoring Veterans and active military for their willingness to selflessly serve our country. Every Veteran male or female, swore an oath to defend this country from foreign and domestic enemies even if it meant paying the highest cost to fulfill their promise. As a way of showing our appreciation, Warriors in the field is dedicated to providing our Veterans with help and support through our hunting and fishing program. Helping our Veterans use their military learned skills in the field. We’re extremely proud of our Veterans and invite you to become a part of the Warriors in the Field program, with your support and donation we can help them fight the unseen battle our Veterans that sacrificed part of their life to keep us free are still fighting.
