Area of Operations Inc

As every soldier is trained to engage in their Area of Operations, hunters are as well. Currently based in New York, development of Area of Operations Inc (AO) was founded by Kenneth and Shannon Scarlett to engage hunting and fishing communities from the novice to avid sportsman as a platform to learn various aspects of hunting and fishing from one another. From field to table, the thrill of the chase begins and ends with thoughtful preparation. To maintain gainful harvest, it is imperative to respect nature and manage populations by differentiating when it’s appropriate to take the shot or give the animal time to walk. Having much respect for the military and our Veterans; as well as First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers, we intend to donate a portion of the proceeds generated from each sale to a veteran’s organization as our own organization continues to grow.

WE MEET THIS CHALLENGE BY PROVIDING OUR VETERANS WITH QUALITY OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES THEY WILL NEVER FORGET, AND BY REACHING OUT TO OUR VETERANS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS THAT WE WILL NEVER FAIL TO TREASURE.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE SOLDIERS LIVE AT THE POINT OF THE SWORD, WITH A TOLL MEASURED BY BOTH BODY AND SOUL. WE EMBRACE THE REALITY THAT NO CIVILIAN CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TRIALS AND DIFFICULTIES FACED BY OUR SOLDIERS. BUT WE KNOW OF THE HEALING POWER OF A SUNRISE OVER PAMLICO SOUND, AND A TURKEY’S WILD HYMN TO THE SPRINGTIME WOODS. AND WE COMMIT TO OUR VETERANS OUR TIME AND TALENTS AND PASSIONS, TO SHARE IN SILENCE OR WILD, HEARTFELT, HEALING LAUGHTER.

American Sportsmen for Veterans

The history of America Sportsmen for Veterans started 23 years ago when our founder and current president Glen Venner began taking veterans, active-duty military, first responders and their families on hunting and fishing trips. Glen, who grew up in a military family, his father a World War II Gunner in the United States Navy, recognized the overwhelming need for all veterans, active-duty military, and first responders to hear Thank You for Serving Our Country. By offering free recreational events, not only can we thank the brave men and women who serve, but we can provide them with a way to connect with each other. In 2015 Glen formed American Sportsmen For Veterans and in April 2017 America Sportsmen for Veterans became a 501c3 Charitable Nonprofit Organization that functions purely off donations and fundraising. In 2018 America Sportsmen for Veterans provided all components of hunting, fishing and golfing, including guides, licensing and equipment at no cost to 242 heroes. All veterans, active-duty military, first responders and their families are welcomed with open arms. Those suffering from physical and emotional disabilities are encouraged to join. Over the Edge Outdoors

Over the Edge Outdoors is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving our brothers and sisters, who have given years of their life in service to our great country.

Over the Edge Outdoors is dedicated to providing Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with connections to like-minded individuals. Using the healing power of nature and the great outdoors, we forge genuine and meaningful friendships between soldiers and vets.

Once you leave the service, it can be hard at times to maintain those sacred bonds we formed while serving our country. We move back home, our buddies get transferred, or just the fact that we’re out of the service can distance us from people we once trusted our lives to.

Our vision with O.T.E.O. is to help service members and vets to reform those close connections, and to maintain that kinship that we crave. Out in a deer blind, out on the lake slinging arrows, or just hanging around the campfire after a hunt, nature brings healing that we all need.

Hero-Hunts Foundation

Hero Hunts Foundation (HHF) was founded in 2016 as a way for us to express our gratitude to the Service Members and Veterans of the US Armed Forces. We have been supporting veterans and veterans groups locally in Delaware and the surrounding area, behind the scenes for a while and now this foundation will allow us to openly express our deep gratitude to the men and women who have, and who continue to, make sacrifices so we may remain free and safe.

LINK UP VETS is dedicated to the future success and wellness of our nations Veterans. Through the use of outdoor adventure and community outreach we create stress free environments to connect like-minded brothers and sisters in arms. These connections form a veteran network that is key in creating a purpose and meaning for their walk through life. We advocate for benefits and care for our fellow service members no matter what generation they served.

Our mission is to provide a complete year-long outdoor experience for Veterans of all armed service branches offering every hunting and outdoor adventure that Lincoln County has to offer. Our program is not just a single hunt or single season opportunity, but instead Veterans may take full advantage of hunting all species of wildlife over the span of an entire year.

founded in 2023 by Gregory Williams, a retired Army veteran who decided to use his love for deep-sea fishing as more than just a hobby. Greg went on many ventures to Alaska and found peace and tranquility that helped him deal with his PTSD.
