Hope for Heroes Foundation

To enable a sense of personal accomplishment, empowerment and unity for our nation’s disabled Heroes through exciting, fun activities and overall appreciation of the great outdoors.

The word “hero” is sometimes thrown around loosely in today’s society — but Hope for Heroes refers to individuals who have served in the military, as well as police officers, firefighters and EMTs as true Heroes. These individuals have answered the call and made the brave choice to sacrifice everything for us — our safety, our freedom and our country.

We know that it is our duty and our mission to return the favor by providing hope and support to those Heroes who have been emotionally and/or physically disabled. We aim to make Heroes whole again.

Hunters Helping Hunters

The mission of Hunters Helping Hunters is to improve the quality of life for physically challenged and/or seriously ill hunters.  This is accomplished by providing hunting opportunities to those who would not otherwise have the ability or resources to fulfill their outdoor adventures.

By providing hunting opportunities and fellowship with other hunters, our purpose is to inspire hope and to build confidence in these individuals, empowering them to face challenges they encounter everyday.

Warriors to Wilderness

We are committed to providing therapeutic and healing nature and hunting retreats that promote physical wellness, enhance mental health, and foster community reintegration. Our programs offer veterans opportunities to connect with nature, themselves, and their peers in meaningful ways, facilitating personal growth and healing through curated wilderness experiences. We believe in the transformative impact of nature. Our outdoor programs include holistic and therapeutic retreats, Nature trails , Fall and winter therapeutic bow hunting retreats, fishing, kayaking, bow fishing and other activities that encourage veterans to engage with the environment around them. These experiences allow veterans to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and develop lasting bonds with fellow participants.

The Swamp Apes is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing profound experiences and opportunities to our Veterans, first responders, and their families. Through nature-based adventures, we foster a renewed sense of support, comradery, and purpose. From tracking and hand-catching invasive species like the Burmese Python to clearing overgrown trails and cleaning the environment, we create spaces for our heroes to connect with the land, each other, and themselves.

Young County Warrior Ranch

The Young County Warrior Ranch is a 501 c3 non profit organization that owns a 20 acre Ranch complete with bunk house, stock tank, and Fellowship hall. Year round, we bring Veterans to the ranch and take them hunting and fishing on larger North Texas ranches free of charge. We also allow Veterans and their families to use the ranch as a free family getaway throughout the year. The ranch is Christian based and is a place designed for Veterans to come together and enjoy each other’s company while sharing stories with one another in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Bar X Project

It is our belief at The Bar X Project that re-establishing the special bond forged in combat overseas is an untapped avenue to combatting PTSD and helping combat veterans return to normal life.  Reestablishing this bond serves to remind veterans of their worth to their brothers-in-arms and help them realize their unlimited value and potential as they transition into civilian life. We invite you to join us in our mission through giving, hosting a trip, or helping us spread the word.
