This is a page for vererans, active, family of service members and people who support what we do and have done. This is a page for all of us to reach out to othes like “Us” for an open ear, to link up with each other for outdoor adventures, fishing, hunting, sports, or what ever you want to do. If there are family members out there that need support we will be there for them, as they were always there for us. We all have our issues, good and bad.Its hard sometimes to find people like “us” that understand what we do or talk about. let’s make it easier.

Warriors for the Outdoors

To give wounded warriors and veterans from all branches a chance to enjoy the outdoor adventures of hunting and/or fishing. To give them a peaceful place to take in the best Mother Nature has to offer. Being a disabled veteran myself, I know how much the outdoors can help you relax and enjoy yourself.

Warriors for the Outdoors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on providing veterans and first responders the opportunity to hunt and fish for a wide variety of animals on quality properties for experiences of a lifetime.

Our team consists of volunteers, donors, and sponsors that share a passion for hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and the desire to enable our veterans and first responders to get out and hunt and fish on quality properties with people who ultimately respect our heroes. It is our obligation to take care of those service men and women that make it home and provide them with hope, optimism and motivation through hunting and fishing experiences.

Fishing for a change

Our guests will receive 4 weeks of cognitive behavioral therapy, led by our qualified councilors. There will be 4 hours each day of classes, lectures, seminars and groups. Followed by daily fishing outings. From beginning spin casting to advanced fly fishing, our guests will get a minimum of 4 hours of meditative fishing on one of the various fisheries available. Hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities will be included, all designed for healing. This will be under the instruction of our qualified guides. One of our goals is to give our guests some peace, By removing most of the outside stimulation. then showing them how meditative and healing fishing can be, hopefully a path of healing they can duplicate the rest of their lives.

Disabled Outdoorsmen creates an inclusive outdoors program for people with disabilities. Our main focus is to deliver an unforgettable experience that was previously not possible. Helping people take their minds off of daily struggles is what drives us to serve you.

Weston Jenkins was driving home after a day of hunting with his cousin TJ when a name and idea popped into his head: Disabled Outdoorsmen USA.

Weston said TJ is the main inspiration behind Disabled Outdoorsmen and he wants to give other people like TJ the chance to explore the outdoors. His vision for DOUSA started out as a simple notion to make people who have disabilities feel like they can do anything they want to do while putting aside their worries and stress concerning their situation. In the midst of planning, organizing and networking for DOUSA, Weston has also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and Sales for Texas State University. Weston is now a real estate agent under Texas Landmen.

While there are some organizations that do what Weston’s does, most are focused on one group of individuals, such as Wounded Warriors. Weston wants his organization to be as inclusive as possible, whether it be an amputee or person with down-syndrome, he wants to help people make the impossible into a possible.

We at Outdoor Valor offer a fully guided fishing experience for all Veterans of all time periods for no cost. We specialize in PTSd therapy and Gold Star family members. All Veterans deserve a day on the water no questions asked just apply! 100% of your donations go straight to the Vets. We have zero paid employees.
