Fishing for Freedom (Quincy)

Fishing For Freedom - Quincy is a no entry fee bass, catfish, and crappie tournament that pairs our Warriors (active Military and Veterans) with our Boaters (professional anglers, avid tournament fishermen, fishing guides, and local outdoorsmen) for a fun day of fishing on our local fisheries. Fishing in the Dark

Fishing in the Dark was created to help military veterans who suffer from PTSD. Our mission is to provide disabled veterans with an opportunity to have an expense free day of bass fishing. We want to spread the message of how having a hobby can positively impact the lives of those with PTSD. We understand that Fishing in the Dark will not be the solution for every veteran, but if we can help prevent one veteran from committing suicide, then all of our work has been worth it. [Read More]

Operation Outdoor Freedom

Supported by Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nicole “Nikki” Fried and led by the Florida Forest Service, Operation Outdoor Freedom provides recreational and rehabilitative opportunities to wounded veterans on state forests, agricultural lands and private lands throughout Florida at no cost. Since its inception in 2009, Operation Outdoor Freedom has hosted more than 500 events and served approximately 4,100 wounded veterans.

Red Hills Wounded Warrior Group, Inc

The Red Hills Wounded Warrior Group Inc. is a non-profit organization that was originated in 2011 by Walter Hatchett and Brian Proctor for the benefit of wounded soldiers returning from active duty overseas. The purpose of this organization is assisting in the rehabilitation of Wounded Warriors back into civilian life and returning to the work force by organizing outdoor hunting events with their fellow wounded soldiers that would otherwise not have these opportunities afforded to them. Veterans Sportsmen Alliance

The primary mission of VSA is to get injured and disabled Veterans out of the house and hospital, and into the therapeutic surroundings of nature and outdoor adventure. VSA has enabled our heroes that have suffered double and triple amputations to experience outdoor adventures they most likely would not be capable of doing on their own. VSA has sponsored deer and hog hunts, as well as tuna, bass, and salmon fishing trips. [Read More]
