Hunting With A Hero knows that help and healing for service members with PTSD and their families doesn’t just stop in clinical therapy. Our goal is to open non-hospital care centers for service members and their families, free of charge, outside every US military installation, where the whole family can learn to better understand how PTSD affects them, and learn ways to cope together.
We believe hope grows outdoors. On the water. On a hunt. On the slopes. On a trail. But we’re about more than just fishing and hunting — those are on the gateway. We’re about connecting and building relationships and trust with our veterans, helping them to get engaged in their community, to discover the immense value of their lives, and showing them there is hope.

Project Healing Waters
Salmon for Soldiers
“The Mission of Salmon for Soldiers is to offer a sense of normalcy and relaxation to our nation’s Veterans through fishing. Salmon for Soldiers' fishing opportunities are designed to help reduce stress while creating new relationships with others who love fishing. Our events are designed to accommodate Veterans with paralysis, PTSD, TBI and other debilitating challenges."
The Outdoor Adventure Foundation
As a 501©3 non-profit, our goal is to help. Our reality is raising money to make these dream trips come true. Our adventures include big game hunts for deer, elk, moose, bear and fowl hunts for duck, goose, pheasant, and quail. Fishing trips are both fresh and saltwater species like bass, walleye, northern pike, muskie, salmon, halibut, and trout.
