Veterans with physical disabilities are able to participate fully using our all-terrain wheelchairs. The veterans we serve participate in sporting activities that challenge and empower them, all while immersed in Iowa’s natural, refreshing wilderness.

Forces and Fire’s Inc. mission is to provide a safe outdoor recreational experience for any disable/combat veteran, firefighter or law enforcement officer and their families, where they can utilize their strengths and their independence. We will show them that they have not been forgotten and will give them an opportunity to succeed, and realize their contribution to their community and family. Heroes Hunting is a Veteran operated state and federally registered Non-Profit 501(c)3 organization which gets formerly deployed veterans out into the field to hunt as a form of therapy. The Heroes Hunting Foundation (HHF) gets Veterans of all theaters (WWII to Current) to any and all outfitters/hunting sites the Heroes Hunting Foundation works with. Mission Statement Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. The Wheelin’ Sportsmen program began in October 2000 as the NWTF recognized the need to help people with mobility impairments enjoy the outdoors by participating in hunting and shooting sports. Wheelin’ Sportsmen events provide participants an opportunity they may not be able to have on their own due to the lack of hunting land access, lack of the knowledge of how to return to the field after an injury or lack of necessary assistance.
