California Waterfowl Association Veteran Hunt Program

The program promotes wellness through outdoor healing and the camaraderie of fellow veterans. Participants have enjoyed hunter education courses, fun shoots, fishing trips and hunts for waterfowl, dove and turkey from the Klamath Basin to the southern San Joaquin Valley. CWA coordinates all hunt details and supplies food and lodging, shotgun shells, guns, jackets, gear bags, duck calls, shirts, hats and more to all participants. Field of Dreams is made up of an extremely dedicated group of men and women who love the outdoors, and want to share their wealth of knowledge and means of opportunity with others. We’re incredibly grateful to be able to give back to members of the military, their families, and special needs kids in this way. It started simply, with a fishing trip planned for two special needs kids. We provide free sport recreational therapy for disabled or financially deprived Veterans. Using bonding, networking outsourcing while teaching a skill to pass on to another. These adventures and voyages on the water/land give us the opportunity to donate the hunt or catch to low income churches/nonprofits Mission is using the ocean to heal Veterans with sport recreational therapy methods. M.A.D. Outdoors was created with the purpose of honoring combat-injured veterans with more than a “thank you” by offering these brave individuals a variety of activities in the great outdoors. Knowing that many injuries are not seen, efforts quickly expanded to provide shooting, hunting and fishing activities to all veterans, as well as individuals of all ages with physical challenges and special needs.

Veterans Sportsmen Alliance

The primary mission of VSA is to get injured and disabled Veterans out of the house and hospital, and into the therapeutic surroundings of nature and outdoor adventure. VSA has enabled our heroes that have suffered double and triple amputations to experience outdoor adventures they most likely would not be capable of doing on their own.
