Hunting with a Hero

Hunting With A Hero knows that help and healing for service members with PTSD and their families doesn’t just stop in clinical therapy. Our goal is to open non-hospital care centers for service members and their families, free of charge, outside every US military installation, where the whole family can learn to better understand how PTSD affects them, and learn ways to cope together.

Mission Statement Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. The Red Hills Wounded Warrior Group Inc. is a non-profit organization that was originated in 2011 by Walter Hatchett and Brian Proctor for the benefit of wounded soldiers returning from active duty overseas. The purpose of this organization is assisting in the rehabilitation of Wounded Warriors back into civilian life and returning to the work force by organizing outdoor hunting events with their fellow wounded soldiers that would otherwise not have these opportunities afforded to them. Veterans Fishing Organization, Inc. is a not for profit 501c3 organization. We provide military Veterans, including but not limited to those with physical disabilities and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with an opportunity for recreation and renewal through guided fresh water fishing and wildlife observation on lakes in Georgia and Alabama.

The Founders, Toby Cochran (USN Vet, DAV), David Cochran (USN Vet) and Board Members, James Cochran (USN Retired), Kenny Long (USN, Army Retired, Dothan Police Retired) and John Hodgson (Army Vet), started WarHawgs to provide an all-inclusive Adaptive Sports experience for Veterans, Active Duty and First Responders.
